Serena added 34,000 followers in a single week. Only the top 4 have more added followers per week. The reason for this has to do with a more tweeting activity by Serena that has call fo the attention of the twitter nation.

World Voice Day encourages men and women, young and old, to assess their vocal health and take action to improve or maintain good voice habits.

Most sports-related media i have seen, have a Twitter account but they will make massive overload tweets to your dashboard. This week, i found StatTweets! You can follow just the US teams from many sports, and can interact with each account to retrieve team and player stats dynamically. Let’s give Robbie (@StatSheet) some feedback about this project.
For all speakers, lecturers and overall people dedicated to training, coaching, sales among others, there are amazing new technology mini-projectors or Pocket Projectors that will create an enormous impact on your presentations.
Nowadays, my addicted activitiy on the web is Twitter. It’s so fantastic how a small thing can have such a huge impact on your daily lives. What i really like about it, is the possibility to hear and read relevant information provided by a group of fantastic people. But we must follow a few rules so we won’t have a Twitter overdose.

This week, i have participated in the IPAM event – Sports Marketing 2009 featuring a great world class reference in sports marketing – Dr. Bill Sutton. I had the chance to meet him and he was very happy for this opportunity to come to Portugal.
The event was very well organized with a very professional staff who provided the best environment possible. The speakers delivered interesting speeches on issues related with the general topic. Daniel Sá & Carlos Sá presented their brand new book, showing a new Sport Marketing Game – with 3 important parts: fan, show and the sponsor.
Later on, a member of a company presented the preliminary findings of a survey on football fans in Portugal. Football Insights Study as APEME called it, was based on more than 3000 interviews made during the 2008/09 season. What do football fans expect of Brands in Soccer? Do Brands correspond to its consumers expectations? What can be expected from investment besides notoriety? How can sponsoring in football change brands image? These answers were obtained in a study that combines focus group, ethnographic incursions and online inquiry in the strongest Sports Marketing research made in Portugal.
Robert Fernandez from Brazil brought us his thoughts on Sports Marketing from the Brazilian point of view. There were many touching points about the vision of sport as a means of communication.
At the start and at the end of this impressive conference, Bill Sutton delivered an enthusiastic speech with a lot of calls for action for the Portuguese sport marketeers. The climax for the presentation happened during the demonstration of the Phoenix Suns Virtual Locker Room. This strategy seemed unreal just a few years ago and now it is a real multi-million dollar service.
After a long day of work, Albion’s 3-minute animated movie Based on Mark’s book, More Than Money.

In the conference there will be national and international field experts that will present us some studies about sports marketing and its new tendencies which will infer the thoughts, the knowledge and the exchange of different experiences.
