This week i present The International Association of Sport Economists (IASE) - created in Limoges (France), 1999. The current President is Robert Baade.
According to their website, the purposes of IASE are:
¨ Promote the economics of sport
¨ Encourage academic exchanges among researchers
¨ Offer to members all the necessary means to improve their knowledge and skill in the economics of sport
¨ Supply expert analyses in the field of the economics of sport
In 2008, they will held the following conferences:
1. Conference in Groningen, The Netherlands – 27th and 28th June Economics of the Olympic Games (call for papers) organized by The University of Groningen and The Chinese Academy of Sciences
2. IASE Annual Conference – Gijon 9th and 10th of May 2008 (call for papers)
