Handling a Young Audience

A couple of weeks ago, i delivered a speech in front of a young audience about Sport (high school). The photos have just arrived.

The 20-30 minutes speech really tested my skills to grab that special audience. In fact, when you are in these business (public speaking), these experiences with youngsters are great to improve in several areas. And sometimes, if you ask for the speech feedback, they will give it short and precise.
The audience interaction is just one skill to improve with them. Usually, this crowd doesn’t like a speaker who is not capable of interacting with them, asking, teasing, provoking…
The level of attention is quite low most of the times so you need to find the best way to make yourself interesting to hear. The task is hard but you can have a great learning moment!
When it comes to simplifying your message in the speech, this is also a great moment to work on that. How to say it in the most simple way. You have to use simple words, small sentences. Don’t try to give them a lot of information and content, they will simply hate you for that.
As anyone would like to share a similar experience with a young audience.
