They are results oriented.  According to best -selling author and world renowned speaker Stephen Covey in his famous book, “7 Habits of Highly Effective People”, we should “begin with the end in mind”. Successful people’s goals are clearly defined, both short and long term goals.  And as such, they knew what they want right from the beginning.  They work to the realization of their goals.

They rarely complain.  To complain is a waste of one’s energy .  Successful people do question a lot of things but they seldom have the habit of whining.  They look for ways on how to turn failure into success.  If one thing didn’t work out, there are certainly alternatives on how to do it better.

They are level headed.  Successful people are open to feedbacks.  They know how to listen and actively participate in discussions concerning things that needs improvement.  They are effective in managing their emotions.  They have feelings like everyone does, but what sets them apart is how they handle these emotions.  They are not slaves to their emotions.  They are able to put their mind above their heart.

They are open to change.  The only thing permanent in this world is change.  Successful people embrace change.  They are adaptable and can deal with the new and unfamiliar.   They are not afraid to take the road less travelled.

They create balance.  Successful people do know how to unwind.   Their health and well being is something that cannot be compromised.  Their relationship with the true and one God is a priority to them.  They know how to be grateful and to give Him back the glory through serving other people as well.
